Welcome to the Institute for Orthopaedic Surgery (IOS),one of the first orthopaedic surgical specialty hospitals in the state and nation. We opened in 1998 as an ambulatory surgery center and converted to an accredited acute care hospital in 2002 committed to improving the muscular-skeletal healthcare delivery in our community. The IOS campus is also home to the Orthopaedic Institute of Ohio (OIO) group of orthopedic surgeons. The OIO physicians' offices are located in another part of the same building. This allows IOS the advantage of providing comprehensive orthopaedic services in one location from diagnosis and treatment to surgery and post surgery rehabilitation. This efficient, patient-centered care delivery model results in high patient satisfaction as reported in our patient satisfaction survey results. We know that you probably have many questions about our specialty hospital and what to expect as a patient at IOS.
